Issue

 Today, as the times progress, the quality of life and rights of disabled people are better than before. For example, Statista, Global Database Co.. According to statistics, the proportion of disabled workers in Korea has increased excessively from 1.6% in 2007 to 3% in 2020. On the other hand, the job satisfaction of disabled workers did not increase sufficiently compared to non-disabled workers. disabled workers Job satisfaction among disabled workers averaged 3.23 out of 40 today, while 3.18 in 2016, according to the Journal of the Korea Creative Content Association. In other words, even though more people with disabilities are hired, they are less likely to be satisfied with their jobs due to low wages, discrimination in the workplace, nonconformity in education, or low utilization of knowledge and skills. All of this is inevitable because society still does not have a system to identify the aptitude of the disabled due to the wrong perception of the disabled and the lack of sensitivity to whether they are disabled. The government has vocational training and employment support services that support employment for the disabled, but the lack of vocational training institutions for the disabled, stagnant employment brokerage and restrictions on job diversity indicate limitations of government support. At the same time, it is difficult to regulate proper education due to neglect of job suitability such as abusive language and bullying by vocational training workers and teachers.

Current efforts & limitations

To improve awareness for non-disabled people and improve job satisfaction for disabled people, it is better to use the Virtual Reality Personality Type Test which can conduct personality type tests and training at once to find out the abilities and aptitudes of disabled people. The Virtual Reality Personality Type Test also detects visceral and immediate responses to accurately measure a person's aptitude. Combining that with a list of specific questions will provide a list of jobs accustomed to their aptitude and generate job training for individuals to be ready for the job.

What is the problem of disabilities’ job satisfaction? Well, here's one thing. As everyone knows, our society is diverse, and among them, there are groups that always take the position of the weak. So people and the government have been working hard for a short period of about 16 years to protect the socially disadvantaged with many policies so that they do not become alienated from society.

However, the problem is that our society, civilization, and ethnicity are underdeveloped, targeting the disabled, so we still do not know how to properly communicate with them. For many years, the Solidarity against Elimination Discrimination (SADD) in the Republic of Korea has continued to fight against nation for the protection of their rights, but the nation's indifference has failed to guarantee the rights of the disabled.

One of their rights is a job. Most of the disabled workers belong to simple labor workers. They come out to society to make money and try to find a job, but most of them do not fit their aptitude. Also, there are less businesses to hire disabilities, so businesses don't even know what skills they have. As a result, one in four disabled workers leaves the company in less than a month.

Disabled people are treated unfairly because they lack the time and opportunity to find their own characteristics compared to non-disabled people. The job satisfaction of disabled people is very low compared to non-disabled people, and the reality is that there is still a lack of policies and support to officially find out their aptitude. Therefore, I introduce my invention, VR personality type test, to solve this problem. This invention can give everyone, including people with disabilities, an equal opportunity to find the job they want. If the results of the aptitude test and their abilities are officially recognized, businesses will no longer be able to discriminate, and the job satisfaction of the disabled will increase.
